My professor, Dr. Golden is an expert in machine learning. He is one of the kindest and most helpful professor in my life. Like seriously, he help me (and friends that I know) a lot. I take his class in NLP this semester.
Btw, one thing I realize when a person is passionate about anything, you can definitely see it in the way they talk. I see this too, in Professor Golden. Statistics is awesome! (ps: I am crying inside) but it is indeed interesting, knowing that statistics can be applied to programming NLP. I just think its really cool. I mean, the statistics that I knew was for experiments, to reach conclusion after one does an experiment. To see it applied to say, NLP or text mining in this case, is a new thing for me ( I know I am a newbie in this stuff, but I am willing to learn. Crawling and/or crying I will try my best to learn it).
Professor Golden also has a podcast for Machine Learning 101. This does not directly applied to my target field : Human Computer interaction, but I put this Machine Learning on my bucket list. Here is the link: http://www.learningmachines101.com/
